Office Manager & Chapel Coordinator
Phone: 248.218.2041
Office: Campus Center
  • Education - Bachelor of Science, Christian Ministry, Rochester College. Currently pursuing a Masters in Missional Leadership at Rochester College.
  • What do you do in your job? I manage the Student Life office and all things Chapel. I am the face you will see in Student Life for new student registration, and if you need a parking pass, new ID card, or have chapel point questions, I’m the person to go to! I also manage campus announcements, help manage the RC App and events calendar, and a number of other “office manager” type things.
  • Hobbies/favorite things to do: I love to sing, I enjoy running, yoga, horseback riding (though I don’t get to horseback ride very often anymore), and hanging out with friends. One of my favorite things to do is go for walks with my husband, Clay, and our dog, Rory. I also enjoy camping, hiking, roller coasters, and consuming copious amounts of coffee and chocolate.
  • Myers-briggs and Strengths Finder results:
    • Myers-Briggs: ESFJ
    • Strengthsfinder top 5: Communication, Connectedness, Includer, Belief, Responsibility
  • Top 3-5 Books
    • Bread and Wine by Shauna Niequist
    • The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
    • The Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers
  • Most influential person/hero? This is a tough one. I’ve been fortunate enough to have a number of people who have positively influenced me throughout my life thus far. One of my top people would have to be my Granna (my Dad’s mom). She is one of the most selfless, loving, kind, generous, and Christ-like people I know. She inspires me to be a person who loves God and loves others well in all times of life.
  • Why are you at RC? There are a number of reasons why I’m at RC! I basically grew up here since my Dad has worked here since I was born. I also earned my Bachelor's degree here and absolutely loved my time as a student. Because of the impact the campus has had on me throughout my life (and still) I want to give back and help our students have as great of an experience as I did.
  • Favorite food: Ice cream. But that’s not a “food” food….so, barbecue (read: grilled bbq chicken or brats, corn on the cob, watermelon, fresh tomatoes, etc...there may also be ice cream, so there we go!)
  • Most embarrassing moment: I actually don’t think I have a most embarrassing moment, which probably means something embarrassing is about to happen to me.
  • TV show character you most relate to: Probably Pam from The Office...but I’m not 100% set on that
  • Who would play you in your bio-pic? Emma Watson or Scarlet Johannson (according to my student workers)
  • If you weren’t at work, what would you be caught doing on a sunny day? I would likely be taking my dog for a walk or a run, maybe walking somewhere to get iced coffee or ice cream, and doing as much as I could to spend my entire day outside.
  • What is one food habit you wish you could kick? I would probably say eating ice cream, but I don’t actually want to kick that...
  • What are 5 things you’re most thankful for right now?
    • My family
    • My friends
    • My dog
    • Coffee (always coffee), especially when paired with good conversation
    • Opportunities for education and personal development
  • If you could ask God 1-3 questions, what would they be?
    • Why mosquitos?
  • What is the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen? One of them would definitely be Mountains in Colorado. Some of the hikes and viewpoints there are absolutely breathtaking!
  • Favorite spot on campus? My favorite spot on campus would be down by Lake Norcentra or the swing at Riverside Park. My parents made the swing for Clay and I’s wedding, so it’s nice to be able to go over there and visit it occasionally (as of writing this the swing is down for repair).
