Volleyball led Gabby Wilson to Rochester College, and when she initially signed with the Warriors, her relationship with God was distant. After a loved one’s passing, her last high school volleyball season ending badly and her original college plans failing to work out, Wilson says she felt as though all of her doors were closing.
“I thought the offer to come to a Christian school was [God’s] way of reaching out to me. Since I’ve been here, my relationship with Him is better than it has ever been,” Wilson said.
Gabby is one of many athletes who have put countless hours into preparing for her sport. While hosting games on our home turf is something she is undoubtedly excited about, Gabby is also looking forward to having an updated space to train on a daily basis.
“The practice gym is very old. The wood floor does not have much cushion and is laid close to the foundation. Unfortunately, this situation oftentimes interferes with our training. A new gym floor will be a great blessing for all of RC’s student athletes.”
